ProofWatchThe ProofWatch Chrome extension
A thin companion to your ProofWatch account. It adds the page you are looking at to a client in one click (sending the page's address and name; a screenshot of your view only if you tick the box), lets you click regions of a page to ignore (rotating banners, dates, ads), and shows the number of unacknowledged alerts on the toolbar with a notification when a new one arrives.
The store listing is under review. Until it is approved: download the extension zip from your ProofWatch contact, unzip it, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode and choose Load unpacked on the unzipped folder.
Signing in
Click the toolbar icon, enter your account email, then paste the sign-in link from the email into the popup. The extension keeps its own 90-day session; signing out of the dashboard does not sign it out.
Permissions, and why
- activeTab, scripting: read the current tab's URL and inject the region picker, only when you click the extension.
- storage: your session token and the last client you used.
- alarms: refresh the alert count every 15 minutes.
- notifications: one toast per new alert.
- https://proofwatch.app/*: talk to your own ProofWatch account, nothing else.
